"Open Sesame!" Let Your Chakras Free

"You must first bring balance to yourself before you can bring balance to the world."

According to the "Guru" from the "Avatar: The Last Airbender", Chakras are links of metaphysical and/or biophysical energy residing in the human body. And For Aang to master the Avatar State, he must first be able to open up all his seven chakras. If the chakras in the body cant be opened or remained blocked, then the energy wont be allowed to flow freely.

There are seven chakras within the body, each with a purpose and each with a different blockage: An intense sensation results from the opening of them all. The process of opening the chakras cannot be halted once it has begun- it must be completed in order to succeed.

1. The first chakra is the Earth Chakra, located at the base of the spine. It deals with Survival, and is blocked by Fear.

Address the emotion concerned and deal with it by clearing your thoughts then let go. Fear is all in the mind. "What your mind can conceive, your body can achieve."?? haha.. nice one :D

2. The second chakra is the Water Chakra, which deals with Pleasure, and is blocked by Guilt.

You must accept things that happened either it's your own actions that screwed things up or not. Do not allow anyone to influence your judgment. In order to benefit the world, one must forgive his own actions.

3. The third chakra is the Fire Chakra, which is located in the stomach. The Fire Chakra deals with Willpower, while it is blocked by Shame.

In order to obtain Balance, one must accept all aspects of his life.

4. The Air Chakra is the fourth chakra. Located in the heart, this chakra deals with Love, and is blocked by Grief.

Love, according to Pathik (The Guru), is a form of energy, and flows around everything, and that any love that you think have gone is still just all around you and manifests itself inside of new love. You can release the chakra by accepting the fact that love would never fade and failures in love shouldnt take the best out of you but instead, strengthen and encourage you to love more.

5. The fifth Chakra is the Sound Chakra, and is located in the throat. It deals with Truth, and is blocked by the Lies people tell themselves.

Everyone must accept who they are; no matter how low-level you may think you are compared to others. Each has a gift and is unique in many ways. Be contented of what you have and make the best out of it instead of grieving to have more than you are planned for.

6. Located in the center of the forehead, the sixth chakra is the Light Chakra, which is responsible for Insight, and is blocked by Illusions.

The greatest Illusion, Pathik explains, is that of Separation: things that appear separate but are, in truth, one and the same. Thus, one must be able to understand the nature of things before giving judgment that one cant be achieved. Do not be decieved of the things you only perceive on the surface. Widen your insight and explore even the depths of the world and/or the wilderness.

7. The seventh and final Chakra, the Thought Chakra, located at the crown of the head, deals with Cosmic Energy, and is blocked by Earthly Attachment.

Pathik states that with the final Chakra's opening, Aang will be able to willfully enter and exit the Avatar State, as well as control his actions within it. Just like in the real world. One can have a control of himself once he is able to let go of any attachments that would hinder any success or responsiblity. hmmm.. Sacrificing? sounds really hard.. no wonder Aang wasnt able to accomplish this as it concerned letting go of his love in order to master the Avatar State.

These efforts might be easier said or thought of than done. However, I think they are worth the try. ;) ahuummm... hmmmm *meditation mode* lol :P

Celebrate Love ^_^

Well, we're still in the month where celebrating love or love itself is stronger than any seasons.. But for me, love should be spent and kept stronger everyday. Let me share to you some songs that are kind of giving me a sting these days... Somehow, these songs are reminding me of someone or something I should do for that person.. But I dont think I'm ready yet.. :l (^_^)

IF I'M NOT IN LOVE (Faith Hill)

If I'm not in love with you
What is this I'm going through
Tonight

And if my heart is lying then
What should I believe in
Why do I go crazy
Every time I think about you, baby
Why else do I want you like I do
If I'm not in love with you

And if I don't need your touch
Why do I miss you so much
Tonight

If it's just infatuation then
Why is my heart aching
To hold you forever
Give a part of me I thought I'd never
Give again to someone I could lose
If I'm not in love with you

Why in every fantasy
Do I feel your arms embracing me
Lovers lost in sweet desire
Why in dreams do I surrender
Lying with you baby
Someone help explain this feeling
Someone tell me

When I Fall In Love lyrics (Celine Dion)

When I fall in love
It will be forever
Or I'll never fall in love

In a restless world
Like this is
Love is ended before it's begun
And too many
Moonlight kisses
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun

When I give my heart
I give it completely
Or I'll never give my heart

And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too
Is when I fall in love with you

Savoring Energy: The Chakra Thingy

Many (especially kids or teens who are uninformed even adults) would think that the chakra thingy mentioned in animes are only part of the creator's imagination or that this is just a superficial matter. However, chakras play a significant role in the human body and it's actually part of our daily lives. Let's review some of the basics of this chakra thingy so we will have a better understanding of how or why chakras are mentioned or used in some of the animes (Naruto, Avatar: The Last Airbender, etc.) we like:

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel, or vortex, and it refers to each of the seven energy centers of which our consciousness, our energy system, is composed.

These chakras, or energy centers, function as pumps or valves, regulating the flow of energy through our energy system. The functioning of the chakras reflects decisions we make concerning how we choose to respond to conditions in our life. We open and close these valves when we decide what to think, and what to feel, and through which perceptual filter we choose to experience the world around us.

When you feel tension in your consciousness, you feel it in the chakra associated with that part of your consciousness experiencing the stress, and in the parts of the physical body associated with that chakra. Where you feel the stress depends upon why you feel the stress.

Understanding the chakras allows you to understand the relationship between your consciousness and your body, and to thus see your body as a map of your consciousness. It gives you a better understanding of yourself and those around you.

>>> The first, namely the root chakra, is located on the pelvis in between the genitals and the anus where the first muscular rigidity of the body takes its toll on the position of the hips.

Also know as: Security Center, Muladhara

Sense
: Smell

Consciousness: Security, survival, trust, the relationship with money, home, job. Ability to be grounded, to be present in the here and now. Ability to allow one’s self to be nourished. In the sense of allowing one’s connection with their mother, and with Mother Earth. How the person feels about being on the earth. Connection with the physical body.

>>>The sacral chakra, is located 2 inches below the naval where another muscle rigidity gives a slouch to the lower back.

Also know as: Sensation Center, Spleen Chakra, Hara, Svadhisthana

This chakra is associated with the parts of the consciousness concerned with food and sex. It is about the body’s communication to the Being inside, about what the body wants and needs, and what it finds pleasurable.

>>>The third one is the solar plexus chakra located above the diaphragm giving a slouch to the upper back.

Also known as: Power Center, Manipura

Parts of the consciousness associated with this chakra include perceptions concerned with power, control, freedom, the ease with which one is able to be themselves – ease of being. Mental activity and the mental body is also associated with this chakra.

>>>The heart chakra is the fourth located on the second vertebra gives the first slouch to the shoulders.

Also know as: Living Love Center, Anahata

Sense of touch, in its aspect of relating to the person inside the body, and distinct from the sensation of the Orange Chakra, which is more about the sensation one feels from their own, body. Sensitivity about being touched indicates heart chakra sensitivity.

Perceptions of love, relationships (relating with people close to your heart, e.g. partner, siblings, parents, children. Difficulty with breathing, or with the lungs, the organs of air, indicates tension in the Heart Chakra. A person’s relationship with air reflects their relationship with love.

>>>The fifth one is the throat chakra located on the throat gives the second slouch to the shoulders, and a habitual bend to the neck stopping the head from being held high.

Also known as: Cornucopia Center, Visuddha

Sense of Hearing is the one associated with this chakra.

This chakra is associated with listening to one’s intuition, which guides one in an optimal flow, in which one sees one’s goals manifest, and is seems that the Universe provides all their needs with no effort on their part at all. It’s a state of Grace. Abundance, therefore, is associated with this chakra, as is the aspect of unconditional receiving necessary to accept the abundance of the Universe.

>>>Then here comes the third eye chakra located between the two eyebrows, that gives the first shrinkage to the lips and to the eyes distorting the positioning of the jaws and hence, generating all the vision problems.

Also known as: Consciousness Awareness Center, Third Eye, Ajna

Sense
: Extra Sensory Perception, all of the inner senses corresponding to the outer senses, which together are considered spirit-to-spirit communication. These include, for example, clairvoyance (inner sense of vision), clairaudience (inner sense of hearing), clairsentience (inner senses of touch), etc.

Consciousness: This Chakra is associated with the deep inner level of Being we call the Spirit, and with what we consider spirituality and the spiritual perspective, the point of view from the deeper part of our being that western traditions consider the subconscious or unconscious. It is the place where our true motivations are found, and is the level of consciousness that directs our actions and, in fact, our lives.

>>>And last but not the least, the crown chakra located on the top of the head, giving the second shrinkage to the lips and to the eyes further distorting the positioning of the jaws and hence, further generating more vision problems.

Also known as: Cosmic Consciousness Center, “I AM” Center, Sahasrara.

Sense of empathy, unity, experiencing another person’s experience as if you were inside them, being them are the senses involved in this kind of chakra.

The Crown Chakra represents that part of our consciousness concerned with perceptions of unity or separation. Just as the Root Chakra showed our connection with Mother Earth, this chakra shows our relationship with Our Father in Heaven. It represents our connection with our biological father, which becomes the model for our relationship with authority, and ultimately, with God. It’s the level of the soul.

See also "The Human Chakra System".

However, the Avatar: The Last Airbender have a different view about these chakras. And I'm going to share what those things are soon. haha! I hope you've learned something from this post.. Ciao! :D

"Hitting Where The Point Is"

I had always been fascinated watching Naruto and the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" because somehow, they share something in common that is really so catchy and interesting... and that's the "Chakra" thingy. In a ninja world like that from the Naruto, Chakras are very essential and the skills of a ninja depends on the way or the level of how he/she knows and manages the chakra. Chakras are also mentioned in other anime, cartoons and even from the movies and other media.

Negi/Neji and Hinata or the Hyuuga clan have this "bloodline limit" called the "Byakugan". The "Byakugan" gives the user an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. The internal chakra circulation system in other beings are then made visible. A 360° view of the surroundings is also granted to the user. A small blindspot that extends outwards from their upper back is the only drawback of this vision.

The
Juuken (gentle fist) fighting style created by the user's own chakra is used together with the Byakugan to certainly make the opponent defenseless and inactive. The user activates the byakugan to locate the chakra points and by pressing the "tenketsu" (the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways) or chakra pressure points of their opponents body through their fingertips with chakra focused on it, the tenketsu is either stopped or blocked making the opponent ninja immobilized losing his or her ability to utilize chakra for jutsu.

The same goes with one character from the Avatar: The Last Airbender - Ty Lee.

Ty Lee is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, utilizing a unique form of martial arts that attacks pressure points on the human body. By striking a person's pressure points, she is able to disrupt that individual's chi flow and temporarily remove their ability to move and use bending.
She is able to strike sequences of pressure points to do numerous things to her enemies. She can paralyze a single body part, or even the entire human body if she wants to. She can even block the Chi paths in a human body, depriving Benders of their abilities.

I can say that both the Hyuuga clan and Ty Lee are masters of the human body or experts of the Chi. They are the "Chi Blockers" which can be very dangerous to battle with. However, Ty Lee's abilities are more realistic than that of the Hyuuga's since the clan has this special skill that can see through the human body's chakras. Ty Lee as a Chi Blocker uses her knowledge about the human body and her speed to do some "quick jabs" to be able to immobilize her opponents.

Another important role of chakra in the body is also discussed in the Avatar: The Last Airbender. Opening or setting free of the chakra nodes for a better body functioning not just physically is one good thing that I was able to discover. In the Avatar, Aang needs to set and open all his 7 chakra points in order to control his Avatar State.

I will be sharing to you how to open those chakra points in my next posts (by researching or watching "that" part of the show again.. haha.. good thing I had a copy *winks*).
